We sat down with Katherine Lande, Brand Fashion Editor and Style Director, for an inside look at our latest campaign location.

How was the idea of the Treasure Hunt brought to life via the walls of this Palm Beach Institution?

Circa Who is a vibrant maze of unique antiques, mid-century furniture, and coastal-inspired décor. The models stroll through the aisles uncovering hidden gems like vintage sunglasses, a sun-kissed scarf, or a wicker bag, each evoking the spirit of an endless summer. She pauses in front of a mirror, twirling in a vintage-inspired dress, capturing the light in a dreamy, serene atmosphere. The store feels like a timeless escape, where every find brings a piece of summer nostalgia.

What is Circa Who best known for? 

Considered a top destination for interior designers and tastemakers, Circa Who is known for its exceptional curation of vintage furniture with a tropical focus. In addition, they house the only signature Mario Lopez Torres showroom in the US – it’s quite special! 

Who is Mario Lopez Torres and how does he relate to the Lilly Pulitzer brand?

Mario Lopez Torres was a Mexican artist and furniture designer famously known for his whimsical woven pieces which have become coveted collector items. The spirit of his creations align perfectly with Lilly Pulitzer’s iconic cheeky attitude and artist driven, hand-painted prints – both offering the opportunity to curate your own style and generate your own conversation piece. Can you tell us about the two sides of the shop and what makes them so unique?

The side of the store that houses the Mario Lopez Torres collection is bright, airy and transports you into a magical world of rattan. Monkeys, palms, and giraffes graze the space – similar to as they do in a Lilly Pulitzer print. The other side of the store is a series of rooms stacked high with a wonderful array of vintage furniture and accents, offering the opportunity to discover unique pieces not found elsewhere. Each side presents the perfect opportunity for storytelling. 

Can you share the types of pieces you can find at Circa Who? The colors and aesthetic are perfectly Lilly and Palm Beach!

At the heart of both Circa Who and Lilly Pulitzer is the Old Florida aesthetic, which is known for mixing vintage pieces with modern designs for a relaxed, coastal vibe. Natural materials like bamboo and wicker, and tropical-inspired prints and color palettes are typical characteristics of Old Florida style – offering the concept of seasonless dressing whether you are outfitting yourself or your home.

Anything else you want to share about the styling of the shoot and how we brought the Endless Summer campaign to life?

For the styling of the campaign, we wanted to take the idea of heritage dressing and update it in a contemporary way to highlight the concept of an Endless Summer. We focused on showcasing timeless looks – as opposed to trends that fade from season-to-season.

For the Miami bungalow of Chelsea Hirschhorn, husband-and-wife design team, Monica Santayana and Ronald Alvarez of MONIOMI Design were tasked with capturing a subtle, beach-inspired atmosphere. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom property exists across the street from the Frida founder’s primary residence, and is used mainly as a guest house, as well as a spot for decompressing and a private place to get ready for events. Hirschhorn’s only call to action? That the space mirror her own colorful outlook, while otherwise giving the design duo the freedom to create magic in the space, a task that they fully leaned into.

Across the home’s 3,250 square feet, the pair built upon a foundation of impactful color schemes, from the oceanic-blue kitchen with a seashell art display to the welcoming guest room wrapped in the warm glow of mustard yellow. The end result is a moody and funky aesthetic that’s a far cry from the traditional “beach retreat”— but just right for a boundary-breaking female founder.

We captured the characteristics of each room through a color story to give each space its own identity.

ENTRYWAY

The vintage table establishes a playful energy.

Setting a soft yet vibrant mood for the rest of the home, the foyer is covered in a textural blue lime wash, juxtaposed by more formal paneling and inset grasscloth wallpaper. A vintage Mario Lopez Torres monkey table welcomes entrants upon arrival and exudes whimsy.

GREAT ROOM

Where multifunctional seating supports casual hangs.

The great room accommodates a variety of activities, from lounge-style seating for hosting guests to areas for Hirschhorn’s kids to play games. “The sofa had to work as island seating so that, in whichever corner you were gathering, the sofa could support its adjacent spaces,” Alvarez says of the centrally located sofa that provides 360-degree seating.

HALLWAY

The 3D wallcovering was a worthwhile splurge.

In the guest wing, the hallway acts as a transportive vessel, thanks in large part to a 3D raffia wallcovering from CMO Paris. “We wanted it to be an element of surprise, as creating a hallway in this finish is typically unexpected,” Santayana says. “It emphasizes the play in design that we wanted to infuse throughout the home.”

KITCHEN

It’s coastal but far from kitschy.

For the kitchen, the design team continued an oceanic color story, painting the existing cabinetry in a custom light blue with hints of gray. They replaced the backsplash and counters with mint quartzite to complement the refreshed cabinets and create a more monochromatic look. In one corner, custom light wood shelving displays a collection of seashell art, along with favorite glasses and dinnerware. Bonus: The corner houses a candy bar, a must-have for Hirschhorn.

PRIMARY BEDROOM

It doubles as a glam room.

According to the design team, “rest and self-expression meet” in this personal retreat. “Plum tones wrap the space, while textured details, [like the fluted wall,] add just the right amount of edge,” Alvarez says.

That said, the room isn’t simply an aesthetically pleasing space built for a good night’s sleep. “It’s also [the client’s] glam room, designed for both unwinding and getting ready in style,” Alvarez says.

GUEST BEDROOM

Rich mustard yellow welcomes guests to a cozy retreat.

“The guest suite was designed to be warm, welcoming, and just a little unexpected,” Santayana says. “Saturated mustard tones create an inviting glow, while layered textures, like the ceiling wallpaper, keep the space feeling elevated and cozy.”

KID’S ROOM

Where imagination runs wild.

To encourage imagination and play, the kids’ room features Gucci’s heron wallpaper. Rattan accents, from the play kitchen and seating to the clothing rack and baskets, add warmth.

Saturated in teal, the bunk room feels bold and special rather than a plain spare room with additional beds. “The color really defines the space and gives it a personality, while the bunks keep it flexible for hosting family and friends,” Alvarez says.

The “season” in Palm Beach formally runs from November to April (post-hurricane season boasts the most consistent weather and a sunny winter escape), but more and more it’s becoming a year-round destination. We packed our Palm Beach weekend itinerary with all the highlights you’ll want to take in during your stay. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned South Florida vet, there’s plenty for design lovers to see, do and eat on this list. (Just make sure to pack the right outfits!)

Friday Morning

After arriving in Palm Beach, make your way to the White Elephant Palm Beach to check in for your stay. The 32-room boutique hotel gives guests all the intimate hospitable warmth of a home and all of the luxury of a resort. Housed in the 1924 Bradley Park Hotel building, the freshly renovated hotel reopened with a neutral color palette accented with vibrant pops of color in 2020 as a sister property to Nantucket’s White Elephant.

The seven-foot white elephant statue by Santa Fe-based artist Fredrick Prescott that greets you upon entry to the hotel is a hint at the gallery of art you’ll find inside, with 1950s pop art by Robert Rauschenberg, abstract expressionist pieces by Japanese American painter Kenzo Okada, and a 54-inch round acrylic work by Orit Fuchs, among other pieces.Amenities like BMW house cars, nightly turn-down service, and complimentary wine and cheese by the pool each afternoon make for a truly luxe experience.

If you are looking for a quick, light lunch after check in, grab a smoothie, salad, or açaí bowl just around the block at Field of Greens.

Friday Afternoon

Where better place to start your weekend than on the beach? Take a 10-minute stroll down Sunset Avenue to the Atlantic coast to take in the teal blue waters and colossal crashing waves—you can also ask the hotel to set up beach chairs for you.

On the way back, stop by the Serena & Lily store to peruse home furnishings by the beloved brand and Michelle Farmer’s fashionable selections at her retail store plus other shops and galleries you pass. Be sure to go to Main Street by the Breakers for an afternoon pick-me-up: handmade mini doughnuts, coffee, pastries and gelato are just the ticket. You can also shop for everything from cocktail napkins to designer dishes there. Don’t miss nearby Contessa Gallery, which caters to art collectors with a beautiful selection of photography, sculpture, paintings and mixed media pieces.

Friday Evening

Make dinner your first night an easy stroll downstairs to the hotel’s on-property restaurant. At Lola 41’s original location in Nantucket it’s nearly impossible to get a reservation in its small space, but you can reserve a table at the more spacious Palm Beach location indoors or on the patio.

Their two kitchens serve up sushi and creative takes on cuisine from countries and regions located on the 41st parallel, as well as fresh local seafood (think: Poke “Nachos,” Lobster Fried Rice, and Black Cod).

Saturday Morning

Start your day with a two-hour cruise along the lagoon between West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Island in a restored light pink (or mint green) Boston Whaler “picnic boat” from Palm Yachts, and take in the island and its incredible waterfront homes from the water, while sipping drinks and listening to music on the boat’s Bluetooth stereo.

You can take the boat to Peanut Island at the north end of the island if the waters are calm (or you’re up for a wetter ride), you can get a glimpse of Mar-a-Lago to the south.

Saturday Midday

Stop for a leisurely lunch at Sant Ambroeus in the Royal Poinciana Plaza, a shopping and dining epicenter with notable architecture by John Volk. Its pastas, salads, pizza, and gelato (if you have room) are well known from its New York City outposts. After lunch check out nearby shops and galleries, including Assouline, Kirna Zabete, and Onna House.

While you’re in the area, the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum’s stately 100,000-square-foot waterfront building is worth walking by (or taking a tour inside), as is the colossal and majestic Kapok tree just south of the museum. If you are wanting to explore more of the area, stroll around Society of Four Arts’ gardens that are equally lush and full of interesting sculptures.

Saturday Afternoon

Take a car further south on the island to Worth Avenue’s four blocks of luxury shopping amongst exquisite architecture. Visitors from all over the world are drawn to wander around the iconic avenue and its vias off the main street that take you to shops (like the Leta Austin Foster Boutique in Via Mizner) and restaurants centered around courtyards that make you feel like you’re in the Mediterranean.

Today, the Lilly Pulitzer flagship shop—located near where Lilly was inspired to start the brand when her shift dresses would get splattered working at a juice shop— uniquely offers custom-painted shift dresses and handbags.

In addition to luxury brands you’ll find all over the world (including Il Papiro’s stunning paper collection, the company’s only location outside Italy), over half of the shops are mom and pop businesses that have made their home there for decades like Stubbs & Wootton, a maker of bespoke custom slippers with iconic Palm Beach design, and Worth Avenue’s oldest shop Kassatly’s, which sells linens, cashmere sweaters, sportswear and sleepwear. After an afternoon on Worth Avenue, be sure to make pit stops at the nearby Julia Amory store, the Kemble Shop, and Lori Jayne.

Saturday Evening

For dinner, cross the bridge over to West Palm Beach and make your way to Fern. The farm-to-table, ranch-to-table concept sources all of its beef from a Wagyu cattle ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, where Akaushi cattle are raised without using hormones and antibiotics.

The dining experience (complete with at least one bottle of wine, of course) takes place in a former art gallery which now exclusively features pieces from Anthony Hernandez, a Florida-based artist whose work is inspired by the artists of his birthplace, Havana, Cuba.

Sunday Morning

Begin the day by checking out one of the White Elephant’s cruiser bicycles and riding it up the Lake Trail, which starts less than a block away. The 5.5-mile trail runs along the Lake Worth lagoon with views of its yachts and boats.

As you head to the northern end of the island, peek over the hedges to see the palatial homes lining the trail and take in unique trees along the way too. Make sure to look for the Old Bethesda-by-the-Sea—a building that served as a church until the 1920s and is now the residence of local designer Mimi McMakin.

Sunday Midday

Check out West Palm Beach’s Norton Museum of Art after it opens at 11 a.m. Housed in a stately Art Deco building, it features American, Chinese, European and contemporary art from a 8,200-piece collection that began in 1941 with the private collection of Ralph and Elizabeth Norton.

After you have explored the museum, sit down for lunch at The Restaurant on site, then walk outside to take in pieces of the Goergen Sculpture Garden.

Sunday Afternoon

If you have time before your flight, it’s time to shop West Palm Beach! Kick things off right near the museum at HIVE, a coastal chic retail empire curated by Sara McCann of McCann Design Group that boasts 24,000 square feet of home décor and gifts. Plus there’s a thoughtfully curated kids store with toys and clothing, as well as a bakery café and floral studio on site.

Continue driving up South Dixie Highway to find more design and antiques stores (more than 40 in all!) sprinkled along the road as a part of West Palm Beach Antique Row Art & Design District. Be sure to go in the notable Cedric Dupont Antiques and Patricia’s Gallery, then head further south to Georgia Avenue for Casa Gusto, Authentic Provence, Meg Braff Designs, and Town Country Coast. Circa Who Furniture, located north of downtown West Palm Beach, is also a must-visit for design lovers.

Palm Beach isn’t really a “before you leave the house, take off one thing” kind of town.
If local style can be subtle, this is it.

To get to Tommy and Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger’s newly renovated property in Palm Beach, turn right at Mar-a-Lago, pass the blinking police lights, then scoot a bit farther on South Ocean Boulevard down Billionaires Row. Behind a gate and across a crunchy white pebble driveway, a shell and tangled coral sculpture carved in coquina stone hangs over the entrance to Coral House. Tommy and Dee, at the door, are in their Saturday casuals, he in a blue shirt and print shorts, she in a Johanna Ortiz print shift dress with tassels. They are barefoot—it’s a shoes-off household. Slippers are offered.

Behind them is an atrium with a wide staircase that delivers us to the main living floor in the house, which was once owned by the disgraced media magnate Conrad Black. Not surprisingly, one of America’s most successful fashion designers has an exacting eye, including a thing about symmetry.

One of Tommy’s first decisions was to rip out the winder stairs and install steps that float up to a central hall with a ceiling of pecky cypress, walls waxed and glazed in a limestone color, and bespoke curtains in subdued hues. In the adjoining living room are glass tables with pineapple sculpture bases and English Regency dolphin chairs, both painted gray-white.

“You don’t walk in and go, ‘Oh, coral!’ I don’t like it when the dress wears the girl,” says Cindy Rinfret, the Greenwich and Palm Beach–based interior designer who has worked with Hilfiger on 18 other projects. “Tommy calls this his grand performance.”

Like their friends Jon Bon Jovi and Sylvester Stallone, the Hilfigers are now Florida residents. For card-carrying members of the “six months and a day” set, second homes are becoming first homes. This permanence means a lot coming from someone who buys new houses the way others replace AirPods.

“We sold Connecticut, we sold New York. We had one in the Hamptons we sold. We bought one in Aspen and sold it within a short amount of time,” Tommy says. These houses will be preserved in a book, Hilfiger Homes, coming out in 2025, which also marks the 40th anniversary of his label.

Another house in Palm Beach, which they sold in 2018 to the Russian banker Vladimir Stolyarenko, has fallen into disrepair. “I wish we could buy it back,” Hilfiger says. For a time they had been living in interim residences and hotels while they were looking, and during the renovation. “I had a toaster from Target in my bedroom,” Dee says.

A Rinfret-designed trellis installed by Accents of France stands out against de Gournay wallpaper. Hickory Chair Chippendales line a vintage mirror table set with Dee Occlepo Hilfiger’s personal tableware collection.

Leaving their Connecticut home was emotional. They had been there for 12 years, and it was where they raised their now 15-year-old son, Sebastian, who attends school in Palm Beach. “I thought it was our forever home,” Hilfiger says, but then Covid happened and, as for everyone else, it shifted their perceptions of work, commuting, and the meaning of the word zoom. Tommy was also ready for a shift. “I don’t like to go back. I like to go forward.”

“But I think I’m gonna start to put my foot down after 20 years of marriage,” Dee chimes in. “I’m not ready to move for a while.”

For the most part, they agree on matters of style and design. “There was this thing Tommy did when we started dating,” says Dee, a designer herself with her own accessories brand. “He’d pick a page in a magazine, and there would be 10 things, and he’d ask, ‘Which one are you gonna pick? Which chair do you like? Which pair of sunglasses do you like?’ I’d pick, and he’d be like, ‘That’s the same one I like!’ I think you finally decided to marry me because we have the same taste,” she says, smiling.

To satisfy Dee’s request for a blue room, Rinfret designed an indigo palm motif on Gracie wallpaper for one of the guestrooms.

Coral House, built in 1972, was designed by John Volk, one of the Big Five architects who created the Palm Beach look. It has a ­Mediterranean-style macaroni shape that embraces a pool and patio area that overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway. Until 2011 the property belonged to Black, the British-Canadian newspaper tycoon who was convicted of fraud charges in 2001 and was later pardoned by President Donald Trump.

“When Conrad Black owned it, it was elegant,” Dee says, but subsequent owners made unfortunate renovations. “It looked like a restaurant in Croatia,” she says of the atrium.

Today the ground floor includes three guest bedrooms, a theater, a gym, a spa, and Tommy’s office; most of the family spaces are on the second floor. Past the central hall and living room are masc/femme-­identified powder rooms, one cream, one pink, with walls lined in crushed shell mosaics, as well as small Greco-Roman busts festooned with shells, made by local artisan Christa’s South Seashells.

In a first floor guest bedroom, the canopy bed from Palm Beach Living is made with Lori Jayne linens. The wall covering is Osborne & Little.

Down the hall from the living room, a serene blue guestroom lined in Gracie wall­paper with indigo palms is where Dee’s bestie Kris Jenner stays when she’s here. (She gave them a contraption that puts various milk foam designs on your coffee. It’s in the kitchen.) Dee’s Deborah Vance in Hacks moment is an immaculate dish room, where she can keep her collection of china and silver, including mother-of-pearl-handled cutlery elegantly poised, like Ocleppo herself, for all tomorrow’s parties.

So far, though, the dinner parties have been small (Tom Ford, a new neighbor, and Jeff Bezos were recent guests), and getting the kids together at one time is a challenge. “We have three in L.A., one in New Haven in school, two in Italy,” Tommy says. Big gatherings happen down at their summer villa. “Mustique is like a mini hotel,” says Dee.

In the sitting room of the primary bedroom, the raffia chandelier and floor lamps are from Circa Who. Natural light pours in from both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Past the upper loggia is the fully stocked Coral Bar, a chandelier of gold and glass palm trees, and lacquered walls topped with bamboo piping. This is where you might get tipsy with Tom and Jon and Sly as someone toasts, “To a life well-lived!” The Hilfigers know something about that.

Dee’s bathroom is illuminated by a silver chandelier she acquired in Paris. Draw sheer curtains and take a relaxing bath in the marble bathtub.

In Tommy’s office, a copy of his 2016 memoir, American Dreamer, rests on a table. In it Tommy describes growing up in a huge family, with undiagnosed dyslexia and a disapproving, often angry father. “I was immersed in negativity as a child and couldn’t wait to get out and be positive about everything,” he writes. It’s not a pose for him, positivity—something you can’t really manufacture. That spirit emanates from his home, and, still, decades and hundreds of runway shows later, from the man himself.

ne way to make designers pause? Tell them nothing should match. When a West Palm Beach family commissioned a new home, the clients were clear that a fresh start did not equal a blank slate. “We decided there would be almost no white in the house,” Cece Bowman of Kemble Interiors says. The designer quickly became accustomed to calls alerting her that monkey sconces were en route, that navy tile had been ordered for an otherwise teal-and-cream room, and other decorative leaps of faith. “It became a fun competition to see which of us could push the envelope the furthest,” Bowman says.

Admittedly, it was less serendipity and more coordination that brought the house together. “The paints and wallcoverings took three full workdays alone to plan,” the designer says, noting that all elements—from the ceilings to the air-conditioning registers—take the design to the next level. The resulting cohesive yet not matchy-matchy palette reinforces the tropical layout crafted by Austin DePree of Northworks.

We decided there would be almost no white in the house.

He designed the new build around a central courtyard, turning the house toward its center and minimizing transitional spaces in favor of an open sequence of rooms. Architecturally and thematically, the home flows from one area to another but is always oriented to the courtyard.

It’s all a twist on the South Florida standard, from positioning the home away from the street and opting for pale pink shutters over quotidian blue to putting a cricket table in the family room. “In the end,” Bowman says, “it all works.”

Owning a second home comes with a lot of perks, but Chenault James believes one of the best is that you get to have more fun with the interiors than you typically would in your main house. Both the founder of Chenault James Interiors and her client are from Louisville, Kentucky, but the homeowners migrate to Delray Beach, Florida, for the winter and wanted to give their five-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom beach house a complete interior overhaul. Though it had been tinkered with over several years, it was time for a full, color-drenched facelift.

“Their house in Kentucky is very traditional and refined, and we wanted this home to be a complete departure,” James tells House Beautiful. “Our client was ready to go full tilt on color and wanted happy energy when she walked in.” Her client’s waterfront home is one of the few remaining “old Delray” houses still standing, with a yellow stucco and cement tile roof and original terrazzo floors that help capture an undeniable Florida charm. “Most of the charming old cottages have been torn down and replaced, so it’s extra special that it’s still there, tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac that backs up to the Intracoastal,” she adds.

Her client’s family spent years vacationing in the beachside city, and James wanted to incorporate the happiness and joy of those times in the space. Along with Palm Beach influences in the color scheme and whimsical decor, the designer filled the interiors with vintage finds, family memorabilia, and refreshed furnishings, allowing her to save a bit of cash to use elsewhere in the renovation, like in the now fully updated kitchen.

James describes herself as “resourceful by nature,” so experimenting with different ways to bring life back into vintage pieces—whether they were bought in West Palm Beach or passed down to her client—with spray paint, new upholstery, or modern hardware suited her and made the end results feel more personal. “We didn’t follow a single rule,” James says, “and I think we made a cacophony of colors sing together.”

Entryway

“This small little entry was so drab and unwelcoming before, so I love that it’s become a little jewel box that gives you a little taste of what you’re about to experience once you quickly move beyond it,” James explains. Her favorite pieces? “The Mario Lopez Torres crane lamp and the reproduction Oushak rug that we custom colored in the most delicious combo.”

Living Room

“Gosh, there is just too much eye candy in here,” James says. “It was especially fun to be able to use bubble gum pink because it’s rare when that works.” Nothing says Palm Beach like the combination of green and pink.

Sitting Room

“I especially love the sofas with the crisp, clear French blue fabric and the contrasting blue brush fringe on the club chairs—another nod to a vintage vibe,” James says. “The coffee table is pretty special too—we custom designed it and had it made locally.”

We’ve been seeing an uptick in seashell decor, especially since the Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House. It appears James’s client got the memo, since the books and accessories are all part of her existing collection.

Sunroom

“We intentionally kept the original whitewashed wood ceiling,” James says. “We needed the ‘rough’ contrast with all the new elements and fresh colors; plus, I liked the idea of not stripping down the character of the old place and the vintage vibe it helped retain.”

Kitchen

“The kitchen previously had tan ceramic tile, which had to be replaced,” James explains. “A black-and-white Greek key pattern was just the touch of Palm Beach that we needed.”

When James realized she had the perfect opportunity to use the Wayne Pate + Studio Four NYC Grove Citron print, she didn’t hesitate to take it. Even doubling up on the pattern with the Roman shade and the wallpaper didn’t give James her fill, so she expanded the print into the laundry room, which is set just off the kitchen.

Dining Room

The dining room basically serves as the calming balance to the rest of the playful interior. The raffia wallcovering by Phillip Jeffries on the ceiling adds depth and moodiness to the space, and James’s DIY expertise shines through in the finials she made herself “out of army green shells that I bought at a drugstore while on vacation in Siesta Key,” she adds.

“None of us liked the huge, dark fish painting that my client’s uncle painted, but we knew it had to stay because of the sentimental value,” James says. “The most satisfying part about designing this room is that we figured out how to make the fish painting come alive, and I actually love the painting now. We left it in its original rough-looking aluminum frame to keep it authentic.”

Powder Room

Using Meg Braff Designs Rainforest wallpaper in here was an “easy choice,” says James. “I want to eat it with a spoon.” The bamboo vanity was custom made by a local shop and painted in Jovial by Sherwin-Williams; the mirror above it was a vintage score in West Palm Beach.

“We worked with the existing upholstered bed because the fabric was in good shape and our client loves blue, so this was the starting point,” James says. “Mixing in the salmon color made the navy feel happier and more playful.”

Kids’ Bedroom

“This room is for the cutest little brother and sister pair who aren’t ready to split up yet into their own rooms. It was a fun challenge to make sure the design didn’t lean too heavily on the feminine or masculine side,” James says. “My absolute favorite things in this room are the vintage Italian pottery lamps I found in West Palm Beach. I love Italian pottery, and the turquoise and yellow was too perfect.” The midcentury-style lamp shades were custom made by Massimo Frank Lighting.

Primary Bathroom

“There is a subtle aqua in the bedroom ikat fabric that we wanted to carry into the bathroom to connect the two spaces and keep it fresh and light,” James explains. “A classic, timeless fretwork bamboo wallpaper seemed fitting, hearkening back to our Palm Beach inspiration. I love the combo of aqua and yellow, so why not add a pop of lemon yellow, which also ties in the antique hand-colored lithographs of sea life.”

Pool Deck

Would it be a proper beach house without a stunning in-ground pool? We don’t think so. James didn’t need to do much to the outdoor patio area, but it holds its own simply with the greenery and the client’s own blue-and-white patio furniture.

We’re just days away from Maison&Objet and Déco Off, and the launches are getting more imaginative by the minute. From geometric jute rugs to quilt-inspired wallpapers, these memorable debuts from the past week will whet your appetite on the flight to Paris.

Schumacher tapped tastemaker Marian McEvoy for a fanciful collaboration featuring 10 exuberant designs based on hand-illustrated artworks by the beloved Elle Decor founder and former House Beautiful editor in chief. Highlights include the delightfully stippled Polka Dot Jungle fabric and the ruffly ribbon–filled Bow-Wow-Wow wallpaper.

Mark Cunningham of Marked crafted a characterful collection of wallcoverings in collaboration with Voutsa’s George Venson. The eye-catching launch includes three bold graphic patterns outfitted in reimagined Americana motifs, such as the patchwork-style Quilted Stars and the zigzagging, chevron-esque Sawtooth.

Nina Magon dropped the second installment of her ongoing collaboration with Studio M Lighting.
