Century Company WHO

Oct 21, 2020 | Designs and Designers

Not a week goes by without one of our clients proclaiming that they have featured Century Furniture in their homes for decades.

Harley Ferguson Shuford, Sr. established Century Furniture Company in 1947 and he built a plant in Hickory, North Carolina.

In 1952, Mr. Shuford hired Raymond K. Sobota to design for Century. Sobota’s forty year relationship with Century is considered the reason Century was known for style and craftsmanship.

There was no stopping the Century Furniture company at this point. Century’s international business also began in the 1970s, with Harrods of London as its first customer.

Vintage Century Furniture quality can only be described as excellent. Clients look for Century Furniture and consider it some of the best manufactured furniture in the world.

Century’s international business also began in the 1970s, with Harrods of London as its first customer.

Our favorite thing to do at Circa Who is to restore Century Furniture with its original hardware!
